“How do we bring top-level sport to life in our waiting room?” Topsupport approached Lensen with this question. Topsupport is the sports health centre of the Sint Anna hospital in Geldrop. At Topsupport you can find everything in the field of sports and exercise, advice, diagnostics and injury treatment. Together to the finish Rehabilitation is about recovery and setting goals with a healthcare professional. A sprint to the finish line and daring to take obstacles along the way. This image was created in the interior of the waiting room at Topsupport by having the hurdlers return to the wall. They radiate that sporting performance in which visible obstacles emerge. The floor symbolizes the start of your performance and it doesn't matter where you start, because everyone eventually reaches the finish line, together with the caregiver. Customized waiting The waiting room is designed in such a way that regardless of the patient's care needs, one can always sit relaxed. The starting point for Lensen was to provide the space with various types of waiting furniture. The tables are wheelchair accessible as standard and have integrated reading racks where magazines and newspapers can be placed for relaxation. The seats offer good support and comfort. The high tables and chairs create - in addition to a dynamic setting in the room - a comfortable seat for patients with crutches and knee or bending complaints. The custom-made wooden dividers in the form of blinds provide a degree of privacy but maintain the feeling of openness and clarity within the space. The mood lighting completes the concept.
