Laverhof, location St. Barbara offers housing with care and treatment to clients with dementia. It was time for a fresh wind to blow through the monumental building without losing sight of its authentic characteristics. Located in a listed building, St Barbara features atmospheric authentic elements such as stained-glass windows. The blue tones from the stained-glass design have been used to connect the different rooms. At the same time, the colour blue in these creates an intimate and peaceful atmosphere. Reception The reception area of St Barbara has several functions. First, it acts as a workplace for the hostess. Lensen chose to exude more hospitality through the character of the custom-made work. The workplace is hidden behind the high part of the counter. For personal contact, the counter has a lower section to still create an open reception area and be accessible for people in wheelchairs. The waiting area in the reception area is connected to the counter by a characteristic carpet. Hospitality and care Everyone is welcome in the restaurant and so the furniture has to be accessible to everyone. Besides accessibility, comfort and appearance were also considered. The dark colours bring security and fit well into the atmosphere of the building. The blue accents of the windows are also incorporated in the sliding panels and panelling. Are you also curious about how your interior can match your characteristic building? Contact Lensen and we will be happy to look at the possibilities with you.
