Furnishing children's ward/poll VieCuri Lensen worked with a large team to give the children's ward/poll a completely new experience. The appearance of the new department is based on children's experiences. The theme is the underwater world. This is reflected in images and photos of animals and the use of colour has also been adapted accordingly. Testimonial In collaboration with a/d Amstel architects, Lensen designed the children's ward/clinic of the VieCuri hospital. Eric Boots, project coordinator at VieCuri, says: ‘The entire cooperation went very smoothly. Based on the child's perception, we chose the theme of water and the river Maas, on which Venlo is located. Lensen translated this very nicely into ‘underwater world’ for our children's ward. They determined the colours for the floors, wall finishes, furniture, materialisation and total finishing. So you see fish prints, but also polar bears, penguins and turtles. Atmosphere makers are a playboat and cabinets in the shape of beach houses. Lensen always listens very carefully to our comments and comes up with the right solutions. For example, we were looking for breastfeeding armchairs in a smaller size than those we have in our birthing centre. Lensen comes up with nice smaller armchairs that meet our requirements, just right. The contacts with all the people at Lensen are pleasant. Whether we deal with the account manager, deStudio or furniture men. They respond quickly and correctly. At Lensen, people rarely think in terms of problems and that's a great thing!’
